Firing up the BBQ at Men’s Group

Arcare North Shore‘s weekly Friday Men’s Group is always a hit with the clients. When there’s plenty of manly activities like BBQs planned for the day, what is there not to like?

Getting together and building friendships is the best part of the men’s group.

Men from all walks of life come together to share their stories about their lives and that is how they form life-long friends.

This week, we decided to have a sausage sizzle and a catch-up chat with the boys.

The weather was just right for the afternoon so Jamie wheeled out the BBQ pit and we started cooking some good ol’ Aussie Snag and onion while Andrea was in charge of buttering the bread.

“Life is great,” Graham commented on how nice it was to be with friends at the barbie.

The boys kicked back with a beer in hand and caught up on some great conversations about all the things we would like to do in our future Men’s Group outings.

Our clinical lead Matt also joined us and reckons that we should turn every Friday into Sausage Sizzle day.

Even Jamie our maintenance man joined the guys for a snag or two.

Some great friendships have been formed between the men here at North Shore and it’s great to give them some time to catch up together over a beer.
