The stock market

Catching up on the morning news is a daily routine for many, especially Basil and Betty from Arcare Brighton, who wait eagerly to hear any updates on the stock market each day.

‘When I was young, I was very involved in the market, ringing my broker and telling him to buy or sell,’ Betty said.

A wise man, Basil still has a few of the original shares he bought when he was in his early 30’s. He recommends buying the Blue Chip Shares. ‘They have the best returns,’ he advises.

Each morning when Betty and Basil pass each other in the corridor, they exchange notes or a give a thumbs up or thumbs down, depending on how the market is going that day.
